Letter To My Grandmother

(5-9-2016)

Jared and his Grandmother

I know it looks like the writing is on the wall here, but I’m still hoping that somehow you pull through.

Regardless of what happens, what I have to say about you here, written below, will always be true.

Mommom created a great environment for myself, my cousins, and my family.

She worked hard and organized many positive family events.

She was the life that every event centered around. She provided so much for us.

The pool and the cookouts in summer.

The excitement on Christmas Eve at the red house.

She did it for all of the right reasons.

Never for attention, or prestige, or to impress others.

She did it to make her family happy.

Making us happy, made her happy.

I feel extremely lucky to have had her in my life, as a grandmother, friend, and role model, and to have been embraced by her since the day that I was born.

I learned so much from her, in so many areas of life, watching her run a business every day, and witnessing the way that she interacted with people, and how she treated her family and friends.

She is a remarkable person. Absolutely one of the greatest.

The maximum amount of respect that I can possibly have for a person, I have that for her.

We all love you Mommom. Forever.
